September 15-20, 2024, the International Exhibition Center EXPO in Astana will host the World Championship in Sports Programming - 2024 ICPC World Finals 2024. 142 teams from all over the world will gather in the capital to compete for the title of champion of the world Olympiad among promising IT talents representing prestigious universities of the planet. Kazakhstan will be represented by 5 teams.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a Collegiate Team Programming Contest, the most prestigious team programming Olympiad in the world among students, which has been held since 1970. The main goal of the competition participants is to solve algorithmic problems using code, under limited time conditions with a minimum number of errors and incorrect attempts. Every year, up to 59,000 participants from 110 countries and 6 continents take part in the ICPC. ICPC finalists receive job offers from major leading IT companies in the world.
